Glory
Pruitt's life has turned a corner. Her husband
Charles has been found dead in the bed of the police chief's wife. And
that is just the beginning. All the funds from Charles' business, Studs
Unlimited, which has been a leader in the artificial insemination of
cows, has disappeared leaving Glory penniless as she turn fifty years
of age.
As the story progresses original settlers of Camden, Ohio, where Glory
lives, begin to die in some very unexpected and curious ways. Family
ties run deep in Camden and people begin to suspect that things they
have always believed may not be true. There are threats to Glory's sons,
to her memory of the family and to her very life as the story unfolds. Heritage
and family take on a whole new meaning as Glory works her way towards
solving the mystery.
Glory, her friend Kate and a very young cop work at solving the mystery
of the deaths in the community and find new meaning in the concept of
family. There is humor, pathos and surprise in this first novel by Diana
Forrester. |
